What is an Alderperson (aka City Council member)?
An Alderperson is an elected official who represents a specific ward in a city council, responsible for local governance and community issues.
Where is Ward 2?
North of Monroe Street, and (between Jackson Street and Salsbury Street) north of Garden Street. See the adjacent map for details.
What is the Common Council?
The Common Council is the legislative body of the city, consisting of elected representatives from each ward, including the Aldermen. Decisions in the council affect local laws, budgets, and community services.
So what?
Folks in town (and the country) are often frustrated with the state of politics. I've learned that the pieces are there, but folks feel disconnected from the process. I want to help bridge that gap.
